Have you ever wanted a second chance in life? Have you ever been given a fresh start? For those who are in Christ this is all too familiar since God has made us brand new creatures altogether. The Word of God says, “Behold, the fresh and new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17). You’ve got to admit, that is GOOD NEWS!
One of my favorite scriptures that I share with all the new clients coming into the Genesis and New Life program at Star of Hope is Isaiah 43. The chapter talks about God redeeming His people and how much He loves us! If you’ve never read it, I encourage you to read it. I put emphasis on verse 18-19, “Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new. Now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.”
Praise God for His word is so true! God wants to do something new in the lives of these young ladies who come into our program. Any young lady, experiencing homelessness between 18 and 24 years old who have aged out foster care or is pregnant, needs to be aware that God is all about second chances and is a giver of new life and new beginnings. Will you share this program?
When ladies enter into the Genesis and New Life program, they are usually broken from their past. They have experienced hardships and very sad situations. Despite the circumstance of how they come, our prayer is that they don’t leave the same way. Our prayer is that they experience true life change through Jesus Christ.
Our program is moving along well. There have been a couple more ladies who have entered since the last post. It is such a blessing to see new young ladies come in and learn there is hope in the midst of their darkness. To see their faces as they begin this new journey is priceless. Please remember us and continue to keep us in your prayers!
Until next time,
