YOUR HEART FOR HELPING IS CHANGING LIVES LIKE ROBBYE’S—FOR GOOD!
“I came to Star of Hope on my own—but not by myself. It was God’s will,” Robbye said. And it was exactly the saving grace she desperately needed.
Robbye struggled with an addiction to gambling that had destroyed her life, home, family—everything and everyone it touched. “I just felt so guilty, so ashamed, so mad and angry at myself that I could not believe I did that,” admitted Robbye.
That is when she felt God telling her, “No more covering up, that is it, it is time for you to stop.” So Robbye left home to save others in her life from the pain and suffering she was causing them . . . and ended up homeless, sleeping in her truck.
There, the suffering and loneliness finally got to her, until she remembered crying out in the night, “I prayed for God’s help . . . and He led me here to Star of Hope.”
It has not been easy for Robbye to throw off the chains of her compulsion, but God is faithful—just as friends of Star of Hope like you are by providing the prayers and place for people like Robbye to overcome their illnesses and circumstances.
And Robbye is so grateful for caring hearts like yours, “Without you, there would be no Star of Hope,” she nodded. “Having the heart to help is one of the most priceless things you could ever have in your life!”
Thank you for opening your heart to help provide for the last, the least and the lost like Robbye!
“GOD TOLD ME, ‘NO MORE COVERING UP, THAT IS IT, IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO STOP.’”
