"Finally, all of you should be of one mind, full of kindness toward each other, loving one another with tender hearts and humble minds" 1 Peter 3:8 NLT
What a wonderful thought Peter has! When my family and I started serving at Star of Hope I knew it would be good for everyone involved, but I never imagined it would be such a blessing in all our lives. An attitude of kindness starts in the heart and works its way out from there. Not only do we need food, shelter and clothing, but we all need love, kindness, and respect too.
We started serving at Star of Hope this past summer and have done "Cookies and Goodnight" as well as the "Back to School Bash." We feel blessed to have been given the chance to serve and meet such wonderful people. To teach our little ones to give without thinking, love without questioning, and pray with thanksgiving is one of the most important lessons we can teach.
We will continue to serve our friends at Star of Hope and pray that there will be many others who offer their time, energy and resources to help make our world better a little at a time!
With Love and Prayers,
Jessy
