Volunteering with MADE, especially at Star of Hope, has been a wonderful experience for me and for my family. It has put into perspective that all of us need help, of some kind, at some point in our lives and that we should all be willing to help each other, in whatever small way we can.
We started out thinking we were going to Star of Hope to help others, but soon realized that we were being blessed by the experience and probably received more from volunteering then the people we served. Seeing and interacting with the families, especially the precious children, at Star of Hope, always brings a smile to our faces and joy to our hearts. Volunteering helps bring a better perspective on ourselves and other people.
