What a great evening at the “All Things New” Star of Hope Annual Banquet last night! Thank you so much to all our friends who could be with us as we celebrated Star of Hope’s 110th anniversary and looked forward to what lies ahead with the opening of Star of Hope Mission’s Cornerstone Community℠. If you were one of our friends who was not able to be there, we missed you!
Highlights of the evening included an uplifting performance by Michael W. Smith, inspiring testimonies from a Star of Hope alumna and a current client, and an update on the construction of Cornerstone Community℠ transformational campus. We also recognized Stephanie and Frank Tsuru with the Heart of Hope Award and Melody and Charles Miles with the George and Barbara Bush Points of Light Award.
In addition, we kicked off the "All Things New Challenge" to raise funds for the New Pathways program which will be introduced at Cornerstone Community℠. This new case management program will make it possible for all new guests to be assigned a case manager who will then guide them through the needed services and classes based on their individual situation and needs. The goal is to help them achieve self-sufficiency and independent living! If you are interested in helping us with this challenge, please call Wes Powell at 713-440-5302 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
