Sharing our Hope in Christ

Impending thunderstorms and bad weather could not dampen the spirits of the 87 Star of Hope staff, New Haven program participants and volunteers who were ready to serve those in most need during the 4th Annual Takin’ Hope to the Streets outreach program held on October 14! The purpose of this annual event is to bring hope and peace to the lost and hurting and to share the gift of Salvation. The Lord stopped the terrible weather long enough to allow 18 teams (and, the Love in Action Van) to minister to the homeless in various parts of town ... and He moved in a powerful way that night.

God blessed the outreach ministry with these results:

  • 291 live encounters
  • 500 sack lunches distributed
  • 500 hygiene packs shared
  • 67 individuals received prayer
  • 24 cases of I Am Waters HOPE water given
  • 2 salvations
  • 10 rededications

These life changing Star of Hope activities and programs would not be possible without the support of friends like you. Thank you to all who were involved … you are sharing God's love in a wonderful way! Thank you for helping us be the hands and feet of Christ to take “hope to the streets!”

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation". -Mark 16:15
