In September I completed my 6th year as the CEO of Star of Hope Mission, and I am still humbled every day by the lives that are transformed here through the power of God’s love! The Lord has helped us create an environment where our employees, in their own way and with their own special skills, can be His instruments of life change every day.
This past Sunday the Star of Hope was named to The Houston Chronicle’s Top Workplaces for the third consecutive year. All of us are thrilled!
The evaluation for the Top Workplaces program is based upon feedback from an anonymous employee survey conducted by an outside firm. Receiving this award then is a testament to the calling that each of our employees feels to serve those most in need. Our workplace is a beautiful and inspiring reflection of the job they do, day in and day out.
But, none of this ... the award, the fulfillment of the calling felt by our employees, the transforming work that they do to serve the homeless … would be possible without you. Thank you for being a part of our winning team. Your support makes it all possible.
And as we acknowledge this award, let us all thank our Lord, for He is good!
