It was 9 years ago that I walked through the doors of Star of Hope Mission; excited and yet anxious about the new assignment that awaited me. I came to work for the Star of Hope not realizing that “my work” would soon turn into “my service.” I served as the Personal Development Instructor/Program Coordinator, teaching life skills and professional development tools to men and women at our Transitional Living Center. Proverbs 18:16 says "A man's gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men." Daily, it was blessing to share the gifts that God had given me, to those great men and women who entered the doors of my classroom.
A few months ago, I accepted a new position as the Outreach Coordinator; this new assignment allows me to come along side our community partners, churches, agencies and shelters in being an extension of support to those who are in need. The mission of Star of Hope is to allow Christ to be the center of it all, and it is my heart to share that same spirit as we bring hope to our city, our home and our mission.
My name is Di Tubbs and I am blessed to be a part of the Star of Hope team and I’m excited once again about the new journey that I’m embarking!
